Is packed lunch safe for people suffering from typhus

Q: A 7-year-old girl has suffered from typhus for 2 times in her life. her mother is very concerned with the food she eats. she wants to send lunch every day to her daughter one hour before lunch time in order to keep the lunch fresh and warm. unfortunately the school prohibits lunches to be sent to school. students have to bring their lunches as they come to school in the morning (7.00 a.m.). lunch time is around 12 p.m. my question is: is it safe for the child to eat the packed lunch? i believe with a proper food preparation and insulated containers, the food will still be good and won't cause her to suffer from typhus. what do you think? should her be excused from obeying the school's rule?
