Is there something wrong with my lymph nodes?

Patient : Hi! I have a question about my submandibular lymph nodes. I found 4 of them, two on each side under my jaw. 2 of them (1 on each side) are 1 centimeter in diameter (all of them) are firm of rubbery consistancy. I assume they would be considered movable, I can move them from underneath my jaw. They cause me no pain nor are they tender. They've been this way for years. They don't grow and I haven't been sick lately. I read online that lymph nodes are supposed to be soft, so that makes me worry. Is there something wrong with my lymph nodes? Do I have cancer?
