Itchy Skin

Patient

Q: I am a female (20 yrs old) and I have a problem with the rash I have around the right groin area, above the pubic hair line. I first noticed it about few weeks ago. I thought it would eventually go away but it hasn't so now I am quite concerned. I'm worried it might be an STI because I have been sexually active for the past 2 months and I never had this kind of problem before. The rash is a little bit browner than my normal skin, has tiny bumps, and the affected skin is rougher than my normal skin. There's no pain or puss just itchiness. I also have the same rash on my lower abdomen, although it is very small. Everywhere else is completely fine. I will go see the doctor about this but I just wanted to know what it could be.
