I've been on birth control pills for about 2 years

Patient : I've been on birth control pills for about 2 years now and I've had a history of migraines. I also have not had children before. I had an appointment today with my doctor about birth control options other than the pills because my doctor was worried that the migraines could cause a stroke. My doctor highly encouraged me to try the mirena birth control IUD. I've been reading online and many, many women have said that it's extremely painful to be inserted. I'm wondering exactly how painful it is. I'm really scared now.
