I've tested for GBS+ at 36 weeks, if I can

Q: I've tested for GBS+ at 36 weeks, if I can clear it naturally and test GBS- before labor is there still a risk to the baby? My OB said I'd still need an IV antibiotic drip even if I was negative. I've read in one place that there's a very small chance the baby may get it utero but mostly through the vaginal canal, is this true? I can't find any stats on how many babies get it in urero so stats would be good if possible. Thank you

Symptoms:  GBS + no symptoms
