Knee Injury with MRI results - will I need surgery?
Patient : I recently injured my knee and had to have an MRI. My results show:
1. Focal grade 3 articular cartilage degeneration of the weight-bearing lateral femoral condyle and opposing tibial plateau.
2. Lateral meniscal tear versus partial lateral meniscectomy.
3. Ruptured bakers cyst.
I do not have an appointment with an orthopedic specialist for over a month. I was wondering what to expect? Will I need surgery? If so, how extensive of a surgery?
