Patient : For about a week now I have been having severe knee pain in both knees. The pain is right below the knee caps and also towards the inside of my knees. The pain worsens when performing activities such as bending, going up and down stairs, and simply walking. I rarely exercise and a week ago I decided to go for a run and I think I may have hit it too hard so that may be the problem. But I am not sure because when I was younger I was told I have Juvenile Osteoporosis and I used to break a lot of bones. Anyway I thought by now I would have grown out of it but I was wondering if that may have something to do with my knee pain as well. I am just kind of worried as the pain started after a ran and that was a little over a week ago and it still hurts really bad. My question is: what is wrong with my knee? Should I get it checked? I was also wondering whether or not you believe it might have something to do with the Osteoporosis. Thanks in advance!
