Knee pain after walking and climbing stairs

Patient : Dear Doctor, In feb 2012 I had knee surgery for the hemangioma removal. After that upto six months I was fine and I ahve taken the Scan also that is also clear. But after six months Walking and climbing stairs giving me pain and if I walk more and climb the stairs again and again then little swelling also coming and pain is increasing. I am still doing physiotherapy exercise twice a day. Should I avoid walking and climbing stairs. My MRI scan is clear I have consulted the doctors
