Patient :I have been suffering with knee pain for a while now originating from the front left where when I press my hand all I can feel is clicking, grinding and a pop-tic noise. The area below is what I can only describe as 'numb' the only way I can explain it is When you have the numb feeling of pins and needles and you scratch the area you feel it happening but it doesn't feel as it would normally. Now I am suffering with pain almost constant at the back of my knee joint especially after standing, walking, laying or sitting for a even after a short period of time. Sometimes I am unable to immediately walk from sitting or laying because the pain at the pain of my knee refrains me from stretching my knee to an angle capable of walking. More recently knee has started to buckle beneath me maybe once every two days. All of these problems have been developing over time 12months plus and I am nearly certain that they are not sports related. What could be wrong and should I see a doctor?
