Patient : My son (13yrs.) was running down court (b-ball) and stopped suddenly to turn around. He heard and felt a pop in his knee. This was about 3-4 weeks ago. His knee swelled up pretty severally and got black and blue on the inside of his leg from about 2" above his knee to about 2" below his knee overnight. Got an x-ray at the hospital about 4 hours after it happened, showed nothing. Went to an orthopedic surgeon 2 weeks ago..they scheduled an MRI that you guessed it, showed nothing wrong. My son still has ALOT of pain both on the inside of his leg and now on the outside of his leg. Swelling comes and goes, but is not to bad overall. Went back to the orthpoedic surgeon today and really got no answers. They said it may be a patella subluxation..(isn't that a dislocated knee cap)..I really dont' think that is what it is. any suggestion, or help would be greatly appreciated
