Left hip losing control and felling

Patient : For the past few days my left hip has been "giving out" on me. It almost feels like it is dislocating, temporarely losing control and feeling of my left leg. I have nearly fallen over several times today. The only thing i have found for a solution is to wear a lower back support brace, which keeps me from losing control of my leg, but the numb feeling still occurs. Im only 22 years old. When i was 13 i spiral fractured my femur from growth plate to growth plate. I had 4 titanium rods inserted into my femur, which i later had removed. What is causing this?
