Left side of face swollen, and left eye irritated and dry

Patient

Q: While at work I work at the Meat Seafood counter of my local grocer, I experienced an irritated eye, and it fell dry. I wear contacts, so out of habit I rubbed my eye. My contact folded on itself and got stuck under my eyelid, I went washed my hands, and than put the contact back in. After a few my eye began to itch again. I removed my contact and left it out, and about 5 minutes or so after my eye became blood shot and more irritated than before. When I got home, I realized my face was swollen and my eye was still bloodshot red. I tried washing my face, and my eye out with water. Just took an allergy pill. I am wondering do you know what this could be?
