Patient : I am 50 years of age, 6', 220 lbs., in good shape, and not diabetic. I exercise 3-5 times weekly, walking or open road cycling for an hour at a time.
I do not drink alcohol, smoke
I am a sports official. I hydrate daily and consume additional water the day prior to an athletic event. On days of the event, at times I suffer from minor cramping of the legs. I stretch for approximately 20-30 minutes prior to the event. I stretch during breaks and stretch following the event. However, after the event, I suffer from major cramping that continues throughout the evening.
I take vitamins daily and also drink juice. What may be the root cause of this cramping? What more can I do to prepare or avoid the same?
