Lobster Allergies. Shrimp?

Patient: I’m allergic to lobster can i eat shrimp

Doctor: Since both Shrimp and Lobster belong to the same family (both are classified as crustaceans) it is best to avoid both, if you have shown sensitivity to either one of them. However, to be surer about your sensitivity, you could consult an Allergy specialist for a ‘Skin Prick Test’ using commercially available allergen extracts from these sea foods.
