Long time cough

Patient : Hello doctor, I have cough lasts for long time more than a month. I have a colleague who sits next to me. He sneezes all the time, everyday. He doesn't even use tissues while sneezing. I asked him about his sneeze, he said, because of allergies he gets sneeze. I am taking medicines to recover form this long time cough, but it doesn't work. Now, I have sore throat. I am worrying that this cough might come from the guy who is sitting next to me. Is the long time cough is related to air-borne disease? what I need to do to get relief from this cough? Thanks!!
