Low Hemoglobin, Iron Deficiency Anemia

Patient: I have low blood haemoglobin level 8 g per dl..low PCV 27.1 percent low MCV 55.99 cu microns low MCH 16.53 pg low MCHC 29.52 percent high RDW 19.8 percent and high Platelet count 513000 per ul .. RBC 4.84 millions per cu-mm count n MPV 7.5 fl is normal range red cell discriminant function 77.59 what do i have n what should i do?

Doctor: Your results seem to indicate iron deficiency anemia which is not very uncommon in women. You should include in your die t items such as egg yolk, fish, meats (liver is the highest source), raisins, whole-grain bread, peas and beans, dates, spinach, broccoli and other green leafy vegetables, fruits like oranges, strawberries,grapefruit etc.You should also visit your GP who may prescribe an iron supplement to help boost your iron levels.Your results seem to indicate iron deficiency anemia which is not very uncommon in women.
