Lower abdominal discomfort

Patient

Q: I am 44 years old, 180 lbs and in generally good health. Over the past several months I have had some discomfort in different places in my groin - lower abdominal area. I say "discomfort" because it is not overly painful (more like soreness) nor constant. I have noticed it on both sides of the lower abdomen, just at or slightly below the waistline of my jeans, usually just one side of the other, right now it is on the right side. There is also maybe just a slight tightness/soreness across the mid lower abdomen (waistline/bladder area?) as well. Like I said, it is not constant, but more intermittent, and I probably could forget about it over the course of a busy day. Perhaps this is unrelated, but I have also noticed over roughly the same time period some slight discomfort sometimes after ejaculation - inner groin area maybe running down the upper thigh, usually the right side. Urination/ejaculation are normal, although I don't have as much urinary pressure as I did earlier in life. I usually get up several times a night to urinate, occasionally not at all, depending on how tired I am and how much I drink in the evening. My MD did a prostate 6-8 months ago and told me my prostate was slightly enlarged for my age but he didn't act concerned about it. Are these symptoms to do with the prostate or what could be going on?
