Lower Back Pain

Patient

Q: About 5-6 years ago i was in a horseback riding accident and injured my lower back. An MRI revealed that my L4 is bulging and L5 is herniated. over the years the pain has become worse. About 6 mos ago I had another MRI done, it revealed that my L3-L4 were bulging and pressing on the sciatica and the L5 is still herniated. Now i am experiencing significant numbness and tingling in my hips, legs and toes. I have tried anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxors, excercises, heat, rounds of oral steroids etc. How concerned should i be?
