Lump underneath ear

Patient

Q: About 5-6 weeks ago I had a painful large lump in my armpit, the pain lasted for about 5 days and then the lump went down (completely disappeared now) then 4 days later I noticed a lump underneath my ear so I went to the doctor who said it was in the lymph node and the one in the armpit was probably the same. I had a cold at the time but no ear ache and no sore throat (main questions doctor asked me) and the doctor told me to wait about 2 weeks and it should go. A week and a half ago I went to another doctor for something else, and mentioned the lump underneath my ear which was still there. He asked the same questions and said to wait a couple of weeks. It still hasn't gone down, I have no other symptoms and the lump isn't painful. Is this something to worry about or is it something that will just disappear with time?
