Patient : I am a 15 year old female, I do not smoke, drink, do drugs, or anything else like that. Every now and then I have very severe pain in my lower left lung, where I can barely breathe in without the pain. The heavier I breathe, the more it hurts. It can last for up to 10 minutes at a time where even when I breathe lightly it hurts, but breathing heavy can hurt for hours at a time. It happens mostly a few days before and during my period, and my doctor thinks I may have endometriosis (I have not had a laparoscopy to prove it though). I am not being treated for it yet, however. I did some research and the endometrian tissue can sometimes be found on the lungs in rare cases. Could the pain be because of that, or another reason?
