Patient :Male, 23rd almost 3. Fever started 3 days ago and has continued to rise and fall reaching 101 Most of the time. Accompanied by clear mucous. Some congestion. A barking cough on the first day which has diminished over the last 48 hours. Has adequate intake and output. BM daily, formed and no foul odor. I have allowed it to run its course thinking it was viral however after three days I was wondering if I should continue to wait it out or seek an assessment from a physician. His lungs are clear to auscultation and upon inspection his throat appears slightly reddened.
