Male, 24 years old, 5'11", 180lbs I have pain in
Patient :Male, 24 years old, 5'11", 180lbs. I have pain in both of my knees, it only effects the medial side of my knee; anterior, posterior, and lateral have never hurt. This has been going on for two+ years now. It started after working in a factory for two years standing on fatigue mats for 10-12 hours a day. I quit the job two years ago. It tends to come and go at seemingly random and generally only affects one knee at a time for anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. It ranges anywhere from a dull/distant pain to a mild "always on your mind" pain. I have never played sports, I do jog when possible and lift weights though. I have never had swelling in the joints nor range of motion/stability problems; I got go into a full deep squat for example. No grinding. Clicking on rare occurrences. There have been no sudden twisting or such motions. I'm at a loss for what could be wrong. I have tried stretching, orthopedics, jogging barefoot, warming the joints, resting. No pain is experienced while laying down, some rarely while sitting. Oddly enough, the more I walk during the day the better the joints feel later on or even the next day. Sprinting makes it hurt worse. Specialty doctors visit is unaffordable but two different general practitioners moved both joints around and said it felt smooth and thought there was no cartilage damage. I don't expect a solution from online without examination but any input or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
