Patient : Hello, I am a 27-year-old male whom has been experiencing monthly cramps that is on par with my fiancee's Dysmenorrhea. No, this isn't a joke and I am desperate for answers as my doctors don't know what is going on. I've had them since I was around 13 or 14 when I started puberty and they usually don't involve diarrhea or constipation. The pain is located in my abdomen but it finds its way around my body. It just about paralyzes me once it hits its peak level of pain and it lasts for around 40 minutes to an hour and can repeat several times a day for a day or two. This doesn't happen every month but when it does it makes me want to puke (sometimes I do), and I cry and used to think of suicide before I met my fiance (now i bare in the pain without those thoughts). My doctors don't know what's wrong with me but they never gave me any kind of test for it and the only way to really know is if I go there when it happens but the hospital is about 40-minutes away. Normal pain meds don't help and anti-diarrhea or constipation pills don't help as I don't have those when I get those cramps. I took hormonal medication (progestrin and estroginol) and during this time it got rid of my cramps temporarily. Now I'm no longer on that but I do occasionally get cramps but less frequent than before. I can't find any information online about this and my doctors don't know either and won't let me do anything until they can test me while I get them. But getting out of bed is impossible. Imagine getting stabbed and not being able to move. Ice water is maybe 2-5% painful compared to these cramps. Cutting my arm is maybe 8-10%. Please help me!
