Patient : I have a meniscus tear in my right knee. I know exactly when and how that happened. Since then, there has been two more incidents where I could not walk because of this knee. One I was just getting up from a chair, and the other I was laying in bed and pulled my knee up. My doctor say these two last incidents are cause because of my weight( I have lost over 40 lb in the last 6 months), and not in any way related to the first incident. My questions is, Is my weight the cause of these last two incidents, or is it because of the first incident when my knee popped causing the tear?
