Menstruation and delaying periods

Patient: Hello, my wedding is in less than a month, and i will have my period same day, is there any pill to be taken once to delay my period (other than the pregnancy pill to be taken for a whole month)? If not, does lemon delay a period if taken daily a week before? Please help!

Doctor: You need to take the oral contraceptive pill atleast for a month ie atleast one cycle in advance for it to have effect. You can try taking the pill a week in advance but there is no garuntee. I hope this helps
