Metoprolol Succinate and Tartrate

Patient

Q: Looking for 2nd opinion:

For three years I've been taking Metoprolol Succinate, 150 mgs a day. No major issues.

My Doctor switched me to Metoprolol Tartrate, same dose. The first 50mgs gets me very tired in the morning.

My question: Would it be OK to take both of these types of Metoprolol? 50mgs of Succinate in the morning, then 2 50mgs of Tartrate in the late afternoon and before I go to sleep? Or some regimen that would include half of each?

Thanks for your advice.
