Patient : My sister gets chronic migraines. She has already had several MRI's and has seen a specialist who can not find the cause. She takes Promethazine Codeine when she gets migraines because she claims it helps get rid of her migraines. Could these migraines be something that she has only convinced herself that she has and they are all really in her head or could she have developed a physical dependency on Promethazine Codeine to keep her migraines away? Note she is 21 years of age, in college as a senior, and says alcohol makes her migraines worse.
