Mini strokes

Patient : Hello, My mother currently has CNS Vasculitis. She has had mini strokes in the past and also has rheumatoid arthritis. She has been prescribed Prednisolone (60mg now on 45mg), methotrexate. She suffers from memory loss and confusion. We have recently had an MRI and a lumbar puncture. Is this memory loss and confusion due to the Prednisolone side-effects or is it due to the Vasculitis itself? Also after treatment has concluded either through not taking prednisolone anymore or the Vasculitis has been dealt with, will her mind (memory and confusion) be back to normal? Thanks, Krishan
Symptoms:  Memory loss, mood swings, confusion.
