Patient : I had my Mirena IUD inserted at the end of July in 2011, it was put in on my third day of my period. I hadn't had my period the whole time, and my gynecologist isn't worried. I go in for regular check ups, and he hasn't said anything since. My boyfriend and I have a regularly active sex life. If we have intercourse mre than once or twice in a day I almost always bleed, which my doctor says he isn't worried about. I had sex on Friday with my partner and haven't really stopped spotting since, it's just a very faint spotting, and I had spotting for a few months after the initial insertion of my IUD. Should I be worried about pregnancy? I get the IUD checked every month, and I haven't had any signs of pregnancy.
