Moody Behavior and Weight Gain

Patient : My 20 year old daughter can be very nice but most of the times she will blow up at the tiniest little things. She is so defensive. This started when she was little and has gotten worse the older she gets. When she was only 9 yrs old is when she started her period. She was a thin and petite young girl, but when she started her period she skow down in her learning and slowly started to put on weight. Now, at the age of 20 she is at least 100 lbs over weight. Is there a diagnosis for this and should we put her on any kind of medicine?
