Mr.

Patient

Q: I am a 60 y.o. white male, 6'1", 230 lbs and losing.
These last two months I have discontinued alcohol use, walked rapidly 4 miles daily. I haven't smoked for 16 years and I do not use caffeine.
My blood pressure is nearly always in the normal range (110-120/80), yet my resting pulse is always high low 90's-low 100's.
What causes that and should I be concerned?
Thank you.

Symptoms:  No physical symptoms other than the rapid resting pulse.
