Q: I need help reading and understanding my mri results of lumbar spine. FINDINGS: L4-5 SLIGHT FACET HYPERTROPHY. MINIMAL SPINAL STENOSIS SECONDARY TO FACET HYPERTROPHY. L5-S1 hIGH INTENSITY ZONE SIGNAL IN THE POSTERIOR ANNULUS AT L5-S1 INDICATIVE OF POSTERIOR ANNULAR TEAR OR FISSURE HYPERTROPHY OF THE RIGHT L5-S1 APOPHYSEAL JOINT. impression: mILD L4-5 SPINAL STENOSIS LARGELY SECONDARY TO FACET HYPERTROPHY. POSTERIOR ANNULAR TEAR OR FISSURE OF THE L5-S1 DISC. MIDLINE PROTRUDING DISC HERNIATION AT L5-S1. MILD SPINAL STENOSIS MAY ARISE SECONDARY TO THE DISC HERNIATION AND SLIGHT FACET HYPERTROPHY, GREATER ON THE RIGHT.
