My 13 year old daughter has what the urgent care

Q: My 13 year old daughter has what the urgent care dr stated is poison ivy that has caused her eye to swell shut. She's taking prednisone for the next 11 days (one day in). Is there anything additional we can do to help reduce the swelling more quickly? She needs to return to school tomorrow and is embarrased of how it looks as well as it feels uncomfortable.

Symptoms:  Eye swollen shut. Itchy and uncomfortable.
