Patient :My 2yr old son had a lap appendectomy the 15th of April, prior to this we were seen in 3 hospital and then finally children's of Alabama to diagnose his perforated appendix and he had become septic. we spent 2months in this hospital treating him with antibiotic preparing his little self for surgery and in the mean time he had to undergo 3 associated surgerys for a heart picc line and abdominal drains. for very large abscesses that had developed. he when go me on iv line and finally we had his surgery. after 4 weeks last week we had his usual check up. and now we're back at the hospital. Dr said everything looked fine last week but bow he has a" knot" right around his naval and it's hard and painfully protruding. ( years old and has been through the ringer. what should I do. if this is a hernia is it okay to do that and what if it's an abscess again or a cist and I push it in Like that.. I need answers.. thanks Ashley. !
