My 9 year old son has had mid to lower

Q: My 9 year old son has had mid to lower back pain for 4 weeks. First they said its just muscular then it got worse so I took him to the ER & nothing showed on a spinal X-ray or kidney ultrasound. White blood count was elevated. They told us that its probably muscular & take naproxen. Yesterday he was in so much pain that he could hardly walk. I took him to a different ER and a ct scan showed enlarged lymph nodes in his abdomen. They said it could be colitis & want him to see a gastroenterologist & rheumatologist. How could it be colitis when he hasn't any stomach issues or diarrhea?
