My dad has diabetes and chronic kidney disease stage 3

Patient

Q: My dad has diabetes and chronic kidney disease stage 3. What medicine other than Tylenol can he take for a fever.

Doctor

A:   Hello,
Welcome to ATD. Thank you for the query.

The recommended drug as an antipyretic in chronic kidney disease is only paracetamol.
You can try other methods to reduce fever like cold sponging, wet socks or wet towel treatment.
Also ask your dad to drink plenty of water.

Hope this helps. All the best.
