My father was just diagnosed with metastatic basil cell canc
Patient :My father was just diagnosed with metastatic basil cell cancer and had a tumor the size of a golf ball as well as lymph nodes removed. I am confused about the prognosis. One specialist told him that he just needs minimal chemo and radiation and he can live a long life. However, I am reading through medical articles that the average life expectancy is 8 months, with a five year survival rate of 10%. Any more information you can offer?
