My fiancé was diagnosed with kidney failure about a year

Patient

Q: My fiancé was diagnosed with kidney failure about a year ago and he has a catheter in his upper chest area. His catheter recently got infected with Staphylococcus haemolyticus. The doctors told him it was in his blood. A night or two before they called with his test results, he and I had intercourse. We are trying to get pregnant and now I have a bad case of BV. Could the BV have come from the Staphylococcus haemolyticus that was in his system since he ejaculated in me? If so, is this something I need to make my gynecologist aware of so she may prescribe the right antibiotics?
