Q: My girlfriend received a concussion at a water park & the doctor said for no physical activity for 2 weeks. She plays soccer & dances daily & did not listen to the doctors orders & continued physical activity. At first it was just bad headaches when she danced & played sports but now she is breaking down in tears directly after soccer (goalie) & dancing. I've read that this can be fatal if not treated properly & clearly she isn't treating it. She plans to continue to "push through it" & "let it pass" even though everything says it'll only be bad for the long term. I'm worried & would greatly appreciate some information on what could happen to her if she continues to keep up with her physical activity.
She is 17 years old.
Thank you.
