Patient: My husband has inflammation on his second toe of his right leg it hurts when he touches it and when he stands up and put pressure on his foot he feels a lot of pain it hurts a lot we went to the E.R and they did blood cultures on him and all they said it has an infection. But they examine the toe for any cuts, bites, scrapes and they didn’t see anything. They also did x-ray but everything was normal and didn’t find anything they came to a conclusion that it might be cellulitis. They prescribed him antibiotics and pain meds but the toe is still swollen with inflammation and it hurts when he puts pressure on the foot. What should i do? what do you think it might be?
