My right knee seems to have a chronic issueIt pops

Q: My right knee seems to have a chronic issue...It pops loudly and uncomfortably after being in a normal seated position for longer than about 10 minutes. When I workout I can feel where the issue might be...and while it's odd to say...Looking down from my perspective and making my knee into a clock face its at about the 7:00 position. I tend to stand with my feet open and wonder if this is something caused by doing that long term? But I had to take 2 months off from working out because I assume was patella tendonitis but now there is consistent discomfort with squatting/lunging etc all in the same location at the top left of the kneecap itself...any recommendations for what I can do...or should i have this looked at?
