My son is 23 months old and has had chronic

Patient

Q: My son is 23 months old and has had chronic diarrhea for the past 4 weeks. Starting two days ago he has had a fever ranging between 101-103. For the past 4 weeks he's had 6-8 diarrhea stools with no blood. However these past 3-4 days his bowel movements have decreased to 1 a day. He refuses to eat and has lost some weight. His breath also smells like feces. He has flu like symptoms. Last month he had mastoiditis and a mastoidectomy. He was on antibiotics so I was thinking possibly clostridium difficile. However his breath like feces fever and lethargy are making me suspect bowel obstruction. I am wondering what the possibilities are and the reason why he hasn't seen a pediatrician yet is because we are in between switching pediatricians.
