My tonsils appear to be swollen- it hurts to swallow,

Patient : My tonsils appear to be swollen- it hurts to swallow, I'm having slight nausea and headache. I've had a mild sore throat for a few days. At the beginning of my day, all was well, slight discomfort but barely noticeable unless I thought about it. As my day progressed, the pain got worse and felt more spread out. There are what appear to be small "spots" or areas covered in white on my tonsils. The blatant white color is surrounded by a very faint darkish yellow. My saliva also seems thicker. I'm an 18-year-old female.
