Mystery shoulder pain

Patient

Q: On and off for about eight months now I have had pain in my shoulder blade. It appears suddenly and disappears without any treatment. The pain is on my left side and sometimes radiated down my left arm. It is made worse by inactivity, such as lying down, but certain activities make it worse like holding my cellphone as I write this. It is always there and seems to just suddenly disappear. Stretching makes it feel better but I hear a clicking sound when I stretch. Sometimes it is a burning pain, other times it is dull and achy pain. I have been diagnosed with sciatica but the two doctors I have seen for this problem assure me that they are not related and have told me that I must have injured my shoulder blade. I can definitely say that there has been no injury to the area. Please help me!!!!
