Nasal Deviation of the Septum

Patient: During April 78, I was hit in the face with a board. Dr. diagnosed my condition as a septum deviation requiring Septoplasty to correct my nasal septum. During the incident, my right nostril was 100% closed and my left nostril was 30% closed. Today, during waking hours I experience about 20% closure of my right nostril but when sleeping my right nostril closes all together making breathing difficult and waking up. I could feel my sinuses draining on the back of my throat when lying down but my right nostril completely collapses. What may be causing this problem?
