Neurogenic Bladder

Patient : My father , 74 years has been diagnosed with a Neurogenic bladder since last 4 years.He is on self catherisation . He has been regularly getting UTI for last 2 years and has been on antibiotics regularly. He is a diabetic fr last last 30 years and extremely frail. He has been diagnosed with E coli ESBL infection thrice in thae last 6 months. The doctors advise hospital admission and intravenous injection for Ecoli. Is there any respite from these infections as he is feeling really dejected now. A doctor has recommended FERONEM 200 mg for ecoli. Is this effective for treating E coli .Pls advise
