Patient :I am a 20 year old female with normal breast size and areola. However, my nipple has never looked like most nipples. At first I thought it was an inverted nipple, but when pulled at the sides of my areola in the place of a nipple is a red-ish spiky-like tissue. It appears almost as if its a nipple without an epidermis. I am not sure about this, and frankly I am getting quite concerned as I hope to one day be able to breast feed. Please let me know what the problem is if you can. Thank you in advance!
