Patient : I'm an 18 year old 190 pound male in college. I had some questions regarding the drug adderall. I am studying music and spend all hours of the day practicing, rehearsing, creating, and so forth. I'm incredibly devoted to what I do. I also have some academic requirements that are irrelevant and slow me down. I am not prescribed for adderall and I'm sure I don't have ADD. I recently got 20mg adderral pills from a friend. I took it a few times over the course of my senior year to get work done and it worked perfectly for me. I take one of the adderral pills not that I'm in college at no consistent rate but at the very most once every other weekend to do the work of those academic classes. I never use them recreationally and do not ever feel dependent on them to get my work done. I also never use them for anything music related because I'm also never short on motivation or focus when it comes to music. I know the "right" response to this question is I shouldn't be using them. I have done a lot of research on the pills and have shown no side affects and am sleeping fine. But assuming that I am mentally disciplined enough to not abuse them and or abuse them, (which I know I am) , am I taking any real medical risk with these? Would ridylin be in anyways a better choice? Are there any longer term affects I should be aware of? Are there any signs I should look out for? I want to be as safe and informed as possible. Thanks.
