Non injury pressure in left knee

Patient : Hi Doc, I have read some of your answers to ,and maybe I'm not seeing it but in my case the knee pain does not seem to be from an injury,at least not a recent one. I am 48 and have had an active past but nothing recently4 -5 yrs. i am experiencing pressure behind my left knee, this has been there with varieng degrees for maybe 5 weeks, walking downstairs is painful as I then experience muscular pain around the knee. the pressure since waking up this morning ismost uncomfortable on a scale 1 -10 it's a 7
