Patient :Hello. I became ill with a flu-like virus last Saturday, and I had about two days when I was very ill. From Tuesday on I've been getting better, and I can do pretty much everything now. When I became ill, I started taking paracetamol in the mornings and evenings, as well as bromhexine tablets and the vitamins I always take. Now that I'm getting better, the only thing bothering me is that my nose is still fairly congested and I'm still coughing up mucus. But the thing I want to know about is the fact that I feel absent a lot of the time. I had this the first couple of days as well, but that seemed natural to me and I was sleeping a lot, so I didn't really notice. As I got better, though, I kept feeling like I wasn't really in my body most of the time. I see and hear everything that's happening, but I'm not alert, it's like I'm not completely awake. Could this be because of the paracetamol? I have decided to stop taking them, as they don't seem necessary anymore for the fever, but as the info that comes with the pills says the maximum dose is 6 pills a day, and I only take 2, it doesn't seem logical to me. Is this just fatigue as a result of being ill? I'm not depressed and I don't take any other medications. I'm not sleeping very well because of all the coughing.
